The first medals are awarded at the Artistic World Championships in Rimini. Shining for the Inline specialty are Spain’s Macarena Pitto Gutiérrez among the Juniors and compatriot Paula Romaguera Peréz and the U.S. Collin Motley for the Senior women’s and men’s categories, respectively. Italy, on this second day of competition, brings home four medals out of the nine at stake, the result of the Junior and Senior women’s podiums.
In her first rainbow participation Clara Barattoni comes home with a silver on the notes of Danna Paula’s song “Aùt te quiero” worth a score of 99.83. In first place after the short program, the Italian dropped one place in favor of Spain’s Macarena Pitto Gutiérrez, who did very well to leap from third to first with 101.40. Closing the podium with 94.93 was another Italian, Sofia De Lazzari.
Same scenario on the Senior women’s podium with the two Italians Sofia Ciacia and Alessia Bilancioni behind Spain’s Paula Romaguera Pèrez. So, second gold medal for the Iberian National Team that gets with Inline athlete Paula Romaguera Pèrez a score of 121.23. Behind her, with 108.51 points, was Italy’s Sofia Ciacia and in third was Alessia Bilancioni with 106.85.
Finally, the men’s Senior podium was composed as follows: gold for U.S. star Collin Motley with 162.15 points, silver for Chen Yi-Fan (Tpe) with 149.80 and bronze for Spain’s David Gutiérrez Bollaìn with 145.45.
