World Skate Games Day 5 – Downhill Skateboard, Street Luge, and Downhill Inline

The World Skate Games downhill categories came to an explosive conclusion today in Tortoreto. Harry Clarke took gold in men’s downhill skateboarding, with Andréas Bouclier and Adrien Paynel coming in inches behind in second and third, respectively. Selina Theiler aced the women’s category, pulling off the fastest time trial and taking first in every heat of the day. Lisa Peters came in with second, Katerina Hill rounded out third. In men’s Street Luge, we saw an incredible late stage pass from Mikel Echegary Diez, putting him in first, leaving the silver and bronze medals for Ryan Farmer and Abdil Mahdzan, respectively. Top time trial rider Rose Hill crashed in turn four in women’s Street Luge, but still managed a bronze medal. Pastore Loreline was quick to pick up the pieces and take the win. Sabrina Riffenburgh was also able to find a line through the carnage and grab second place on the podium. For men’s Downhill Inline, Renato Pennuti won on his home turf in Italy with Juan Barrera coming in second and Pedro Soler filling the third spot on the podium. In the women’s category, Alef Torres from Columbia went fastest ahead of Miriam Fatmi Garcia and Valentina Vargas.
